World’s Most Expensive Hot Dog

June 11, 2012 ,

The competition is strong for the official title in the Guinness Book of World’s Records. Vancouver’s DougieDog with its $100 Cognac-infused Kobe-beef hot dog has lost the crown to Sacramento’s Capitol Dog.

The main ingredients of this 18 in. delicacy include: moose cheese from Sweden, focaccia bread, and a 3/4 pound all-beef frank. Some of the toppings are New Hampshire bacon, Dijon mustard, dried cranberries, and white truffle butter.

Hot-dog lovers are warned: this baby sells for $145.49. A third of the proceeds from this lavish wiener will go to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.

Try our own very tasty hot-dog, that costs only 2 dollars 😉 :
