Ingredients

1 Romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces   550 g
2 1/4 tsp sesame seeds   8 g
1/2 cup Miso Dressing (Recipe)   125 mL
1 pinch salt [optional]   0.1 g
  ground pepper to taste    

Before you start

One serving is about 100 g, or 4 cups of lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces.

Method

  1. Wash the romaine lettuce, then spin-dry. Tear the leaves into bite-size pieces and place them in a salad bowl.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the sesame seeds. Pour in the Miso Vinaigrette and toss to coat well. Serve.

2 tsp Dijon mustard [optional]   10 mL
2 tbsp water   30 mL
3 tbsp lemon, freshly squeezed   1 lemon
1/2 cup canola oil   125 mL
1 3/4 tsp gingerroot, grated   8 g

Method

Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Shake well for 1 min.

Remarks

This vinaigrette keeps 1 week in the fridge.
