Ingredients

5 cups water, cold 1.25 L
1/2 cup sugar 110 g
1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed 5 1/2 lemons
20 ice cubes
20 leaves fresh mint [optional] 1 g

Method

  1. Combine the sugar and 1 cup (250 ml) of water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil with stirring until the sugar dissolves completely and a clear syrup is obtained.
  2. Pour the syrup in a pitcher then add the remaining water. Mix well, then put the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. Pour the lemonade into glasses, add ice cubes and mint leaves.
