Lettuce with a Cream Dressing

3 tbsp whipping cream 35% 45 mL
1 tbsp wine vinegar 15 mL
1 pinch salt [optional] 0.2 g
ground pepper to taste [optional]
1 Boston lettuce, or curly leaf 200 g


Pour the cream in a salad bowl, then whip it just a few seconds until it starts foaming. Stir in the vinegar, season with salt and pepper to taste. If necessary, you may dilute the dressing with just a few spoonfuls of water. Add the lettuce leaves, then toss.

Serve immediately.

I like the dressing, very simple. I jazzed up the salad a bit with some craisins, nuts and/or cucumbers.
