1 tsp matcha (fine powder green tea) 2 g
2 tsp maple syrup 10 mL
1/4 cup water 65 mL
1/4 cup milk, partly skimmed, 2% 65 mL


  1. Place 1 teaspoon matcha powder in each heatproof cup. Add 2 teaspoons of maple syrup and whisk until a smooth dark green paste is obtained with no lumps.
  2. Meanwhile bring water and milk to a boil in two separate saucepans.
  3. Distribute the water to the cups, whisk slowly. Top with the milk, tipping the cups slightly to help create more foam. You may sprinkle matcha powder on top for decoration. Serve.
