Ingredients

1 1/4 cup margarine non-hydrogenated 9.9 oz
1 cup sugar 7.1 oz
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract 0.3 fl.oz
3 cups rolled oats 11 oz
2 cups white flour (all purpose) 9.2 oz

Method

  1. In a large bowl, add the margarine, sugar and vanilla. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the oats and flour.
  3. Spread half of the mixture into a non-greased 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven and spread the jam over the crust.
  6. Place the rest of the mixture over the layer of jam and press down lightly.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool on a wire rack.
