Turmeric and Ginger Drink
Turmeric and ginger, some of nature's most powerful healers, are combined in this "cleansing tea", also known as "Golden Milk".
Ingredients
1 cup | milk, partly skimmed, 2% | 250 mL | |
2 tsp | turmeric | 6 g | |
2 tsp | gingerroot, grated | 9 g | |
1/2 tsp | honey | 4 g | |
ground pepper to taste [optional] |
Method
- Pour the milk into a small saucepan and heat gently until it reaches room temperature. Add the turmeric, grated ginger, honey and a pinch of pepper to a mug.
- Pour a small amount of the warm milk into the mug and stir to create a liquid paste, ensuring there are no lumps. Pour the remaining milk and serve.
