Get enough fluid as it ensures a good milk supply.

Make sure to have healthy snacks close to hand.

An occasional alcoholic drink is unlikely to do any harm. However wait until the alcohol is removed from your body (two to three hours) before breastfeeding.

Limit caffeine to 200 mg per day (two cups of caffeinated beverage). Caffeine passes into breast milk and, while it's not harmful, it can make some babies restless.
