Tomato Salad with Oregano

Not much of anything is needed on top of tomatoes when they are sun-ripened : maybe just a sprinkling of oregano (which in Greek means «joy of the mountain»).

Ingredients

2 tomatoes   240 g
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil   15 mL
1 pinch salt [optional]   0.1 g
  ground pepper to taste    
3/4 tsp dried oregano   0.4 g

Method

Cut the tomatoes lengthwise into quarters or slice them crosswise. Put them in a bowl, pour in the olive oil, then season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with oregano and toss well.

Serve.
