Lassi is a yogurt-based drink that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It may be sweet, salty, flavored with spices or fruits. Here we are proposing a popular version with mango.

2 mangoes 600 g
1 cup kefir 250 mL
1 cup yogurt, plain, 2% 260 g
1 pinch ground cardamom 0.1 g

Before you start

A blender or food processor will be very useful for this recipe.


  1. Peel the mangoes, cut the flesh from the pits, then transfer the flesh to a blender.
  2. Add the kefir and yogurt, then puree until smooth. Add the cardamome then serve.


If desired, you may add a bit of salt or sugar. Keep on the fridge if you cannot serve immediately.
