Ingredients

1/2 cup orangejuice, freshly squeezed 1 1/2 orange
1 tbsp lemonjuice, freshly squeezed 1/2 lemon
1/4 cup honey 90 g
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 2 g
24 pitted prunes 3/4 cup

Method

  1. Combine orange and lemon juice, honey and cinnamon in a medium sized saucepan. Bring to a simmer on high heat and add prunes.
  2. Turn the heat as low as possible and cover. Simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Keeping an eye on them so the prunes don't get soggy.
  3. Remove the prunes with a slotted spoon and turn the heat to medium high; reduce the liquid to about half.
  4. Pour the syrup over the prunes. Serve chilled or warm.
