Post-Vacation Stress: Three tips for a smooth return

August 31, 2011 ,

Are you suffering from the post-vacation blues? Here’s how to ease your re-entry into regular life.

1. Plan a smooth transition

When you get back home, there is unpacking, laundry, an empty refrigerator, and … all the rest. Leave yourself at least one free day after vacation before returning to work in order to get ready.

2. Watch your sleep

Try to get back to your regular sleep routine a couple of days before you go back to work. On the night before your first day back at work, make sure you have everything ready: car keys, identification, lunch, clothes, etc. So you get a good start to the day.

3. Let vacation give your everyday life a boost

You and your family have probably got some exercise while on vacation. When you come back rested and happy, you can use that as motivation to keep on exercising. Also, you may have eaten out a lot, so when you come home, you are probably looking forward to having home-cooked meals. Use it as a way to kick-start your plan for making more wholesome meals. At SOS Cuisine, we can definitely help you on this front 😉
