The World Population is 15 Millons tonnes overweight

A new report published a week ago on the BMC Public Health, using data from the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2005 the global adult population collectively weighted 287 million tonnes, of which 15 million tonnes were due to overweight (BMI > 25) et 3.5 million tonnes to obesity.

According to the scientists of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine that published this report, «those extra-kilos are the equivalent of an additional 500 million people on the planet».
