TOP 10 Heart Healthy Recipes
For decades, scientists around the world have agreed that the Mediterranean diet helps reducing our risk of cardiovascular disease.
This is one of the reasons why all our menus are inspired by this food pattern. The other reasons being the fact that it is palate-pleasing and very easy to make.
To celebrate this month of the heart, we have prepared for you the list of our TOP 10 “Heart-Healthy” recipes. Among our recipes that satisfy in full Health Canada’s criteria for the heart healthy claim*, we have selected those with the best feedback of our members.
#1: Carrot Soup with Orange and Ginger
A gorgeous, bright and zesty soup made from wholesome carrots and healthy ginger! The tang from the orange is the perfect addition!
#2: “Three P” Soup
A soup made with roasted parsnip, potato, and pear. Roasted vegetables lend a smoky-sweet taste to this hearty soup.
#3: Avocado, Mango, and Grilled Chicken Salad
Sesame seed oil adds a pleasant nutty taste to this salad, but because of its full flavour, it is preferable not to overdo it.
