Most food cultures have an iconic raw protein dish, but Steak or Beef Tartare really is something you have to experience. It may be an acquired taste for some, but most people are shocked at just how tasty it is. When making it, use only the best cuts of fresh meat, directly from a butcher with a good reputation, and you’ll have no troubles. If you aren’t that adventurous, you can start with Tuna Tartare, which is similar in flavour and texture to nigiri sushi or sashimi.
